As many of you have heard in the past week, LG and Sony are currently in a legal battle over alleged copyright infringement on the part of Sony. The battle escalated when European shipments of PS3s were being seized with rumors of the same possibility in North America.
Sony has found a loophole. The “European” ban is only being upheld by the Netherlands. This happens to be the home of Sony’s distribution center. Now all Sony has to do is distribute from another country in Europe and they can regain their market. LG has only one option to continue fighting this. That would be to try to receive a ban in each individual country. Until then, Sony can continue their sales in Europe.
