Armageddon 2012? Try 2017

Earth Defense Force 2017, the cult favorite is back with it’s second installment. The new title is Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon. The original game had over 150 different weapons and the capability to fight insects, robots, UFOs and a few creatures similar to Godzilla. The battlefields from the first were mainly focused on Asia and Europe whereas Insect Armageddon will be staged in a fictional city called “New Detroit”. Hinting that the old Detroit was destroyed by the alien menace. Another interesting addition to the game is the choice in armor.

The Armor selection:                                        Added Features
Jetpack                                                           Online Co-op
Battle                                                              Survival Mode
Tactical                                                           More weapons and Enemies
Trooper                                                           Armor selection

With the original being an Xbox 360 exclusive, Playstation 3 players will have the opportunity to test their insect fighting abilities. The game will release at $40, which is a bit nicer to our wallets then the average $59.99 games. The game also added the new feature of Survival Mode. In Survival Mode you can play online with up to 6 players, and test how long you and your friends can survive. Online co-op is also a new feature added to increase the fun.

The game is worth a try especially since many gamers over looked the first one. Even though the first one got a 4/5 rating. So for only $40 give it a try. The game hits store on July 15th. The rating given to the game is “T” for teen due to animated blood, mild language and violence.
